Before you begin
You'll need a Google or GitHub account.
Signing up creates a new CVE Shield organization in Northstar automatically.
Steps
Already an existing Contrast customer with an invited account? See Log in to Contrast (Northstar) instead.
Select a sign-in method and enter your credentials:

Continue with GitHub
Optionally, select Remember my sign-in to sign in faster next time.
Remember my sign-in depends on your browser session and your identity provider's login state. If you clear cookies, use a private/incognito browser window, or sign out of your Google or GitHub account, you'll see the standard sign-in options, and will need to select your method again.
Review and accept the Contrast CVE Shield Terms and Conditions.
Contrast creates your organization with the following settings:
A 14-day rolling attack history
Library data retention, Agent diagnostics, and CVE Shield monitoring enabled
You're signed in to Northstar automatically. Next, follow the Agent wizard to connect your first application and add your first Java service.
Sign back in to CVE Shield
If you've already signed up, CVE Shield Free recognizes your Google or GitHub automatically.
Select the same sign-in method you used originally.
Contrast detects your existing account and logs you in. It won't create a second organization.
Install an agent
Install your first agent using the Agent wizard:
Select Flex Agent directly to install a Java agent using an executable JAR file.
Select Flex Agent via Kubernetes to install a Java agent within a container using a Kubernetes Helm Chart.
