Manage agent configuration conflicts
Use the agent dashboard to review agent configuration conflicts.
Before you begin
If using role-based access control, a role with the Organization edit action is required.
If using organization users and groups, the Organization RulesAdmin role is required.
Steps
Open the agent dashboard:
Northstar: From the left navigation, under Administration, select Agent management.
Contrast: From the header, select Administration and then, select Agent Management, if not already selected.
Optional: To view only agents that have configuration conflicts select Filters > Condition and then, select Overridden.
Select the row of an agent that shows
Overriddenin the Condition column.In the agent details panel, review the list of overridden agent settings and the effective configuration settings.
Best practice: Using order of precedence, determine which agent setting you can safely delete, keeping only the settings that are in effect.
It is not required that you delete the conflicting agent settings. The Effective configuration section in the agent dashboard shows which settings the agent is using.
