Close incidents (Northstar)

After you verify that incidents are no longer being exploited, you can close them.

This workflow isn't available on CVE Shield Free tier. Free-tier users have read-only access to incidents; they can view incident details, evidence, and associated CVEs/observations, but cannot close, reopen, assign, or comment on them. Closing incidents requires a paid tier.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, select Incidents.

  2. Select the incident you want to close.

  3. In the Status card, select the drop down and select Closed.

  4. In the Mitigation update window, select a reason for closing the incident, optionally add a description of the mitigation, and select Submit.
