Release news for Contrast CLI

Contrast CLI 0.1.0

Release date: October 7, 2026

New and improved:

  • Added a standalone Contrast CLI binary that runs without Python or any other runtime installed. (PL-187)

  • Added contrast-cli configure, a single command that gets you set up to use the CLI. Signs you in through your browser. (PL-125)

  • Added contrast-cli agent install, which adds the Contrast Flex agent to your Dockerfiles, and contrast-cli agent uninstall, which removes it. (PL-244)

  • Added contrast-cli agent enable, which attaches the Contrast Flex agent to running Docker containers. Each selected container is stopped and recreated with the agent attached. (PL-277)

  • Added contrast-cli demo, which runs a CVE Shield demonstration on your own machine in a few minutes. (PL-355)

  • Added contrast-cli agent disable, which removes the agent from containers that agent enable attached it to. (PL-320, PL-322)

  • Added contrast-cli sign-out command that removes your stored sign-in credentials and Contrast keys from the keychain. It also clears a corrupted credentials record, and it reports that nothing was stored when there is nothing to remove. (PL-357)
